Hey Creatives, recently I put out a couple of short videos, one is a super fast-forward painting of this fairy
MAKING A FAIRY
I will probably add her to a collection of fairy ephemera or background later but I just needed to do a little art to de-stress.
Maybe you need a little de-stressing too!
If you have read the newsletters or been on my social media you know I fell down a flight of stairs in Nov, broke my foot and sprained my ankle. That led to months at home, off my feet and right when I am starting to get back to normal,
our world has changed.
As I write this some of you are already in quarantine, some by choice, some not. We already homeschool so that is not different for us. My husband is in grocery management.
And while you may think it is a good thing at this time, it means he is very exposed. Exposed to people who may or may not be sick. Getting yelled at for things he has no control over on a daily basis, working outrageous hours, and no there is no overtime. He comes home, showers, eats dinner, goes to bed and goes back to work. There are some people who are gracious, I am thankful for that. But there are more that are not.
I know people are scared, I get that. We are all people, and getting angry with each other is not going to change the fact that there is no TP in the store, or whatever else they need that is missing right now. My husband used to shop and bring groceries home after his shift. Right now, there is nothing left after his shift.
I guess I am just saying we all need to take a deep breath because while some of us are in our homes, some of us don’t have a choice and have to go to work. My husband and other workers don’t have a choice, they are needed. They don’t get accolades or prayers that the doctors, nurses, police, and firefighters are getting right now but they are putting themselves out there, at risk as well.
So if you are out and about and are dealing with someone who is working please be remember them in your prayers and be kind. That is somebody’s husband, wife, father, mother, son, daughter, brother, sister, loved one…
they matter, you matter.
Be kind to each other.
Rita
