Hello Creative! Today I have an opportunity to bring you a little joy! Are you a joy seeker? I hope so! In the last couple of posts I covered some tips to increase your joy. Today I am hoping to bring one lucky person a little joy with a surprise in the mail! A few of my fabulous design team members and I decided to do a little paint brush swap. We made 6 paint brushes and tags, 5 to exchange and one set for one of you! I ended making three different mermaid paintbrushes, those and the set we are giving away (one from each team member ) are below. For a chance to enter check out my Instagram page @Ritabarakatart.
This is one of my paint brush makeovers, of course its’ a mermaid! (One of my favorite things that bring me joy!) It is so much fun to pour new life into an old worn-out object! Use paints and glittery objects to make it look magical! The mermaid is from Mystical Mermaids die cut collection.
More on the Joy factor
Do you see all that color? That makes me happy! Painting with color, hair color in my hair and clothes are all things that make me happy. When I get up in the morning and see my hair color it makes me happy that it is purple! Have you been taking inventory on what makes you happy?
Using an unexpected item in my work also makes me happy. See the pearls? I love the idea of the pearls, like a natural jewel that a mermaid would find in the sea to decorate her surroundings. Here are the three designs I made for the swap.
Giving things away makes me happy- and it doesn’t have to be expensive- it could even be free. What about a smile, a hug, and encouraging word or compliment? It will cost you nothing however it could mean the world to someone else.
Here is a close up the orange color. This mermaid is form the mermaid tails collection of die cuts/ephemera collection. Looking a this now I am thinking that these mermaids would be great brand new pencils. Or what about a valentine!
