Hey Creatives, here is the finished project from Mixed Media Monday, Keep on swimming, mermaid canvas. There is a slight glare because I used glossy Ulta Mod Podge spray over the top. Pretty cool though right? My stamps look well together I think I should make this into a set using my princess mermaid stamp on the second one!
Stamps for this mermaid canvas: Floral mermaid, clamshell and seagrass.
In case you missed it I have posted the video below for you!
After the video ended I had to wait for all the pieces to dry completely, this is especially important when working with clay. Things I did after the video: 1. With a dry paintbrush go over the raised surfaces with Colorshift.
This makes the colors really pop on the matte acrylic background.
2. Cut out the shapes
3. Spray the base and the papers with Ultra Modge Podge and layer it on the canvas.
4. Use a little Glitterifc onh her hair (did you really think I was going to do a project without glitter? LOL).
5. Used a little sandy colored texture paste (Perfect Paints)
I love all of the texture and color on this piece – not to mention who doesn’t love making a mermaid canvas?

It is really cute! I like the background texture–aren’t you glad you didn’t throw it away? I couldn’t watch the whole LIVE, so I might just have to watch the part I missed, later. Your mermaid and clam–adorable!
This is so precious and all of the colors blend so beautifully! Way to go!!
