Special Gifts Deserve Special Tags
I think the tags for the gifts can be just like that special card you make for that certain someone, it’s personal and so sweet!
What a lovely way to make that gift more personal!
What Betz had to say about her project!
Hello Everyone! Betz Golden from http://scrappycafe.blogspot.com/ here. I do not live close to my family, I left home when I was 18 to attend college in Germany. I transferred to another university in the southwest that specialized in my field of study, it was only supposed to be a pit stop. There are ugly deadly insects, not a lot of trees and it is super hot in the summer. Love happened, I got married and 23 years later I am still within a 15-minute drive of my undergraduate alumni and I wouldn’t change a thing! Since I don’t live close to my childhood home I send out a lot of Christmas gifts.
Growing up we were very poor and lived in bad neighborhoods. Holidays could have been bleak and depressing, but my Mom always did a wonderful job with presentation. The table was always decorated nicely and the food delicious! One of my favorite Christmas traditions was going through the stocking! She put so much thought and care into what was in it that I never felt slighted. There was not a lot of “value” in it, but it was so fun to go through! She found little things I needed or special trinkets at the Dollar Store. Mom could wrap a present like no one else! She purchased wrapping paper after Christmas at a discounted price and use yarn to create bows, pompoms, and tassels.
When I lived in Germany she mailed me my Christmas present and it was just as spectacular as the stockings I got each year growing up. That experience has resonated with me throughout the years and I too can pack a great Christmas parcel and wrap a gift.
This is a jumbo tag I made for a Christmas parcel I will be mailing home this year.
When my Mom opens the box the first thing she will see is this sweet tag hinting at what is in the box!
Until next time ~ Happy Crafting!

How cute your tag is. I love how it is so shiny, and you used several colors on the background. I am going to make some cute tags with my new Rita Barakat die cuts and glitters and things. Thanks for the idea. I LOVE it.
Can’t wait to see what you do with them Sharon!
Darling tag, filled
with lots of love.
