So you say you can’t draw?
Hey Creatives! Isn’t she lovely? Betz has made us this sweet tag featuring one of my stencils from the “So you say you can’t draw“ stencil set. This makes it so easy to make beautiful projects! I also love how Betz used Rinea foil on the tag for hair! So creative!
Betz used one of my “So you say you can’t draw“ stencils and it looks great! I love these stencils because anyone can get a great picture by using them! All you do is use a mechanical pencil to fill in the lines. Once the lines are filled lift the stencil and connect those lines. Then you have a beautiful face! I have seen hundreds of students use these stencils with great success! It really speeds along the crafty process when you don’t have a lot of time! If you feel like this would be a great help to you check it out in the shop – it’s a set of three.
What Betz had to say about her project
Whenever I am in a creative slump I like to work on something small – like an ATC or a tag. The small substrate not only offers just enough of a challenge to get my creative mojo going but not enough to get invested in it and I get frustrated if it does not turn out right. That is exactly the dilemma that I faced and the reason I created this gorgeous tag with a Rita Barakat “So you say can’t draw“ Stencil and Rinea Foiled Paper.
First, I sketched half of a face on the tag with the stencil. I added color and shading with Copic Marker. Next, I used the stencil on three sheets of Rinea paper to create the hair. I laid the hair down on the tag and trimmed the excess. I used a clear gloss on the eye and finished off the hair. I created a flower and butterflies with punches and added Nuvo dots. I went back and added stickles and I should have done that before laying down the butterflies and flower. I love how it turned out! It is ready for a card or a gift bag.
How do you get out of a creative slump?
Make sure to leave Betz some love for her tag and tell us how you get out of a creative slump!
Blessings!
Rita
