Mermaid Tails
Don’t you love mermaid tails? I mean tales…ok no, I mean mermaid tails! A little play on words today! I am so excited to share this new collection of mermaids die cuts, “Mermaid Tails”. There is something magical about mermaids and fairies, it makes them so fun to draw and paint! This is one of five new mermaid drawings for this month.
Each mermaid in this collection is a little bit different, with their own personalities and look. The last collection was more pastels so I needed to get back to my favorite color family, jewel tones.
I loved doing this play with stripes. Normally I don’t like painting stripes, straight lines are not my thing, curves and patterns make my day but this made me happy. Don’t you love when something just comes together? Each one of the girls in the mermaid tails has a very different fin.
This one is not in the jewel tones but is one of my favorite colors. She is a beautiful coral color, it is one of my “got to” colors for clothing. I wear mostly dark blues, purples, and black but I also have a lot of coral in my wardrobe.
The pictures make it look more like blue, but they are more teal in color. I love the way she came out, she’s a little flirty don’t you think? LOL. I hope you like this collection, perfect for the summer months.
And if that isn’t enough mermaid mania for ya, check out this “mermaid fin” sparkling embossing powder!
In the shop now! More info about the new Magical Mysteries collection by Rita Barakat and Emerald Creek can be found here.
Have a great weekend peeps!
Blessings,
Rita

I like them all but really love the one longingly looking off into the distance . The new E.C. R.B. embossing powders will definitely take it up a notch . Really want to see that Kiss of the Fairy with the Mermaid color . Great job 💖
