Hello, Creatives! Watercolor paint is our focus today! Look at this adorable watercolor gift set that Yolie made for us today using my Sassy Sue stamp from Technique Junkies! One of the things I love is how everyone interprets the stamps differently, the girls can be any shade of skin color, eyes, and hair! There are so many possibilities! How fun is that?
I hope that you are enjoying all the fabulous projects the team is making this month with Plaid! Read on below to enter our fantastic Plaid giveaway!
Don’t you just love the color contrast between the cool pastel watercolor in the background and the bold dark colors in her hair? It really makes her pop on the page! Black is always a perfect contrast to make your watercolor pages pop!
Of course, adding that sweet purple flower is the perfect feminine touch!
Sassy Sue has the sweetest face and I wanted to create a soft and feminine look for this project. I drew the flowers onto watercolor paper and
then used Plaid’s Acrylic Watercolor paints Pink and Pastel Turquoise to color them. Once dry, I used the Light Purple watercolor to paint
the background. Next, I colored Sassy Sue with Marvy markers and fussy cut her before I added her to the card, I splatter some gold metallic
paint for a bit of shimmer.
The bag is decorated with ribbon and the tag stamped with the sentiment, “delight in the little things”. Such a delightful face to
accompany a sweet message.
