Hello Creatives! A little fairy glitter for not one but two projects for today, our last day (not even 24hours left!) of our spotlight on Marvy Uchida and giveaway! Today our projects could be called night and day, they are two totally different mixed media looks using our sweet die cuts (this one is the beautiful Blooms collection) and of course a little fairy glitter…

From Kathryn on her project:
Art journaling can be so fun! An art journal is a place where one can play, try new techniques, or make a finished layout. For today’s project, I went way out of my comfort zone and created a very “industrial” looking layout. It was my desire to contrast Rita’s Beautiful Blooms while still maintaining a similar color palette. And so I played with paints, stencils, stamps, textured paste and inks. The best part was adding the Marvy Deco Glitter Premium pens! I used the silver and green markers to the Beautiful Blooms Die Cut. Using the blue, green and silver markers on the layout, I squeezed the markers to get out quite a bit of ink in various places on the page. Then I misted those places with water and then the ink flow over the page. The added splotches of glitter color add another dimension to the project. Be sure to try out the fabulous markers and Rita’s Die Cuts the next time you want to create something fun!

Delight – Dancin’ on Sunshine
What Rebecca had to say about her project:
This was such a fun project to create with Rita Barakat’s *“The Veil of the Fairies” die cuts and Marvy Glitter Pens. From the moment I saw the fairy in boots I was full of inspiration. I decided I wanted her to Dance on Sunshine, so to my Delight, Dancin’ on Sunshine was born. Yellow paint added to the center to represent the sun. A Marvy pen added glitter when it was dry. See how it sparkles?
When this was dry, I pulled some random yellow streaks over the surface to unite the color of the sun into the rays. It was time to bring on the Marvy Glitter Pens to embellish and accentuate. Some of the streaks needed a little fairy dust so I used the yellow Marvy Glitter Pen. The best shine came when I painted the boots with the Marvy Glitter pens in green and purple. Ohhhh la la…look at that sparkle!! That’s what I am talking about.
I hope you will try these delightful Marvy Glitter Pens and see how much sparkle and shine they add to any art, mixed media work, scrapbook page, card…just about anything you can write on.
