TGIF peeps! A great time for watercolor journaling! Jenn is sharing these beautiful pages from her art journal! Over the weekend you could easily break out your art journaling supplies and create your own masterpiece!
Here is what Jenn had to say about her watercolor journaling project:
For my art journal layout, I used one of Rita’s “So you say you cant draw” face stencils to create my outline. Tracing over that line with a heavier pen. Several paint collections were used to create the background, including Folk Art acrylics and ColorShift by Plaid, Ranger Dylusions, and Art Anthology. I used more stencils and watercolor pencils in the background. This was fun, I loved the results of mixing products! For the white highlights, I used a bright white gel pen.
*Tip – using a stencil makes it easy to draw a face; fill in the lines of the stencil with a mechanical pen, lift the stencil, fill in the lines and you have a face! You can always change up the face to suit your needs and choices as seen in Rebeccas last post by making subtle changes to the features of the face.
I love the way all the different colors flow together giving that underwater look! And I am looking at that hair color and it looks vaguely familiar…hmmm…
Don’t you love the saying that she picked to go with her page? It’s perfect!
Make sure to leave Jenn some love below!
