Hello, Brittany here,as a guest designer on the blog today! I love pushing my creative boundaries and decided to step outside the realm and make this fun little spring décor piece! With the hot air balloon assemblage being inspired by Rita’s Art Foamie balloon stamp I knew I wanted to make something fun and colorful.
I started by choosing a color palette of inks to stamp the Art Foamie stamp on sturdy card stock.
From there I used heavy weight chip board to create a sturdy frame to hold the fussy cut balloons.
Knowing I wanted to play with texture I added thick wire for supports and party straws for the added color.
Make sure everything can support the weight by using hot gluing the seams together.
For added texture I decided to play with flowers to decorate the balloons basket. This hot air balloon wasn’t complete until I added one of the fun paper dolls from Rita’s Magical Theatre book!
Hope this inspires you to make your creations!
