Hello, creative friends and Rita Barakat followers! Jenn here sharing my altered storage box with you.
Storage boxes are always plain and I wanted to spruce mine up!
Small cardboard storage box mine is 4 X 4
Black Fine Line Marker
Watercolor pens, pencils, paints
Embossing powders in clear and an iridescent
pencil with eraser
Start by applying white gesso to all four sides of the storage box. Allow the gesso to dry.
Next, on one side use the face stencil to draw the outlines and finish the lines.
TIP – Gently erase the lines to lighten them and lessen smudging.
Color her face and hair using watercolors. Continue the hair coloring on the sides. Ink the Art Foamie Fairy Wings stamp and stamp on both sides. Coat these with iridescent embossing powder and set. I used Lindy’s Angel Wings Mauve. Use a fine line black marker to add brows and lashes.
Go over hair and face with highlighting colors. Coat hair with embossing ink and clear embossing powder and set. Clean sponge applicator and emboss the face the same way. Avoid the black inked areas.
Use the Art Foamies Zen Doodle stamp with clear ink and stamp on the back panel of the box. Coat with clear embossing powder and set. This will act as a resist. Once the embossing is dry, add watercolors.
Thanks so much for visiting today and viewing my post! I hope that you are inspired to spruce up your storage!
