Good Morning Creatives! Keri Sallee here and I hope you are ready for a little magic today with this fun fairy Magic Shadow Box!
Today, I wanted to go back to my paper-crafting, fussy-cutting roots to make this project. I was able to stamp Rita’s Fairy Magic stamps on regular copy paper and have my bunny and Fairy Playing in the colorful garden I made using her Fairy Garden Background Stamp.
For this project you will need:
Fairy Magic Stamp and Fairy Garden Background Stamp by Rita Barakat
Crafter’s Inks by Ann Butler Designs in Berry, Aquamarine and Limelight
Colorique Paints by Lisa Marie Jimenez in: Ruby Slipper, Verdigris and Pacific Ocean
Wooden Canvas (you can use a regular canvas as well)
Golden Glass Bead Gel
Liquitex Matte Gel Medium
Gesso
Copy Paper
Markers
Strong Adhesive (like E6000)
Burlap
Hemp Rope
Pop Dots
Something to make your base (I found a little glass coffee cup at Tuesday Morning for $2!)
To make this easier, I made a little Snapquide to walk you through the steps.
Here are a few close-ups!
I LOVE my blue bunny! It’s hiding perfectly in my burlap “grass” that I colored with Ann’s Crafter’s Ink in Limelight.
In Rita’s Fairy Magic Stamp set, there is a little “swoosh” of stars that reminds me of the sparkly trail that always follows fairies. By adding it to my border, I added more “fairy-ness” to my project and more color.
Here is the finished project again!
I hope you enjoyed today’s project and it inspires you to look at things a little differently. What do you have already in your creative stash that you could use differently…like I used the back of my canvas instead of the front? When you go shopping, try to see things from different angles. My little “stand” was once a mini coffee cup, complete with plastic wrapper, but removing the wrapper, painting it and turning it upside down fit this project perfectly!
See the world a little different and a FAIRY-FULL Day!
XOXO,
Keri Sallee

Oh, how cute! I love all of the little details.
I hope that you have a great time at the CHA (whoops, Creativation 🙂 )
