Hi there,
Karen here, sharing a tutorial for these Mixed Media Canvases that I created with Rita’s Heart Wing Artfoamies stamp. The stamp measures 5 ¾ x 3 ½, the perfect for these 4×6 canvases. I loved the various layers of texture in the project. The Heart Wing stamp is so versatile.
Instructions:

I began this project by applying gesso to the burlap canvases using a foam brush.
Next, I added some ink to my craft sheet and inked the Heart Wing stamp with the ink. Then stamped the Heart Wing stamp onto watercolor paper and then cut it out with scissors. I distressed the edges of the stamping with ink.
I adhered the Heart Wing stamping to the canvas. Then I added some gessoed paper straws.
Next, I added some flowers, scripted bulb and dyed ribbon to the canvas.
Next, adhere a wooden word or sentiment to the canvas.
Then, using a foam brush, apply gesso to all elements of the canvas.
Lastly, using a paintbrush, tap on complimentary inks onto the mixed media canvas and repeat all steps to create an additional canvas.
I really enjoyed using the Heart Wing stamp on these mixed media canvases. It added great visual texture and complimented the overall design. The stamp can be found using the link below:
What other ways would you use this beautiful stamp?
Thanks so much visiting today.
