Hey creatives! I recently tried some really fun products that created some surprising ideas for Mixed Media! Here I used CelluClay to create pointe shoes for my little ballerina! It’s instant paper mache, it adheres to any surface and all you have to do is mix it with water! It was fairly easy to mix, add as little or as much water to make it workable for you and shape it. I made these little shoes and once they were completely dry they were solid -just as the hard as the tips of baby girls real shoes! I painted them with acrylic paint, added a little canvas paper to the backs(DCWV) and of course added glitter! I am loving it and to top it off I am so excited to share with you a giveaway opportunity to win not only this but a box of products from Activia!
So Activia generously donated some super fun goodies including the CelluClay for a giveaway that I will announce on Mixed media Mondays next Monday night on FaceBook! There is still time to enter but you must go to this post on Instagram and find my giveaway post! Another one of the products that they are including is Hearty Modeling Clay, I made a video for it below!
There are two more products in the giveaway and if you want to see then check out this post on my FaceBook page! These products are so versatile that I knew I would come up with some unusual and surprising ideas for mixed media! Like using them on a mixed media canvas? How about creating terrain with the CelluClay on a canvas? The Hearty clay can be embossed, engraved, formed to make any shape or form! Why not make a mixed media canvas over a foam ball? You are only limited by your imagination and Monday I will share a few more alternative ideas! Make sure you tune in!
Have you come up with any unusual or surprising ideas for mixed media? I would love to hear about it! Leave me a comment about it below!
