This page  is made with kraft paper and already had the black stripes on it. I went in with a little gesso to form my bird shape. *Hint if you can’t draw find a bird in a magazine or online and trace it!

Here I add colors with Gelatos  – drawing on top of the Gesso makes for a smooth application.

Blend the colors with a dry sponge.

Add more colors and blend!

I drew doodles, stamped and added an eye for the bird. Add more Gesso for a sentiment.

  1. I love this! The colors are so pretty. How do you write over gelatos? I have such a hard time with that. So pretty.

    1. April the PITT Artist pens- the brush tip will write over Gelatos- just make sure the color is blended with a dry sponge or water.

  2. This is really lovely. The colour combination is really pretty.
I only have a few Gelatos so far, they are quite hard to find in the UK. They are so very versatile though, I love using them.
And seeing beautiful creations like this really inspires me to try new things with them 🙂

Thank you for leaving your sweet comments, I love to hear what you have to say!
