Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft and ICE Resin Blog Hop!

Hey hey Creative peeps! 

Today I’m honored to be part of a Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft blog hop as we team up with Ice Resin. If you are new to my blog WELCOME! If you are one of my fabulous regulars, thanks for being so awesome!

I got to play with  new cool stuff ~ ICE Resin®, 1 oz. syringeICED Enamels® Ivory Relique and ICED Enamels® Medium! Can you see them here??? Let me walk you through my project…

First step: prime my canvas with Gesso, draw on the canvas.

Step two: Drips with Iced Enamels Medium (this is actually  for metal surfaces but this turned out  really cool!)

Step 3 Cover with Iced Enamels Relique. shake off any excess powder and pour it back into the container.

Step 4 Use a heat gun to melt ! the right two drips are done, the left are still wet. It looks like stone!

Step 5  I used my Stampers Big Brush Pens and a wet paintbrush to add color to my drawing.

Step 6 I used packaging and more medium and Iced Enamels for large circles on the page. Heat embossed those too.

Step 7 Add color on my background with Gelatos®Colors.
Step 8 Spread the color with a wet paint brush.

Step 9 Add more color, fill and blend,
Step 10 Use PITT® Artist Pens to outline, add sentiment and highlight.

Step 11 Add Glass Bead Glass Bead Gel, wait for it to dry (it looks better if you let this dry by itself  as tempted as you are to speed things along don’t do it!!! It will turn white and bubble if you do~ if you wait it will be gorgeous!

Step 12 Add ICE Resin®, 1 oz. syringe to the eyes and lips!

And there it is all finished!

  3. GASP!!! This is totally breathtaking Rita!!! I LOVE how you used created the dripping stone effect and your gelato color selection and blending looks incredible!!! What a gorgeous girl you designed and I bet her lips and eyes look even more shiny and beautiful in real life! This is amazing and inspiring and I’m SO thankful that you share you stellar talent with the world–we are enriched. 🙂

  4. Your lady is beautiful. I come from a line of artists – but it stopped before it got to me. I can’t draw a straight line. Luckily I an do lots of other crafts things that don’t depend on my drawing skills. The whole page is wonderful. I’d be thrilled to have her to display in my house. thanks for sharing.

  5. I love the quote and the whole canvas is just gorgeous. The bright colors are great. I really like the idea of adding the ice resin in areas on the canvas that you want to highlight, the way it is self-doming is perfect for this.

I love everything about this project. Your talented drawing, your sense of creativity and your color choices are all sublime. I love how you used the enamel medium.   13. Wow! I love all of your ideas: use ice resin for eyes and lips; drip the medium and add the relique to it; add the glass beads medium (I have been waiting to use mine. Thanks for the tip,) Love how this turned out. Beautiful.
